There's nothing better than working in the kitchen while the kids hang out. Matthew usually does his homework while I could dinner - looks like Ellie will join in on this part of the daily routine. I love it.
Routine makes me happy. I love the predictable and I love the comfort that comes from doing familiar things. I know that whatever else happens during the day, by 9:00 pm, I'm relaxed with a book or the remote. I love that every night at a not-so-precisely-predictable time, Ellie and I sit and read books and snuggle before bedtime. I love that every evening around 4:00, Matthew and I shoot hoop in the living room until Courtney yells at us to stop.
